Manager/Supervisor
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Manager of Operations, the Contract Construction Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the activities of assigned contract construction crews, to ensure work plan development, execution, and the timely completion of projects while maintaining budget specifications. This position maintains compliance for all projects within RUS, NESC, and safety requirements and ensures they are consistently adhered to. This position oversees the quality assurance of all projects and ensures these standards are consistently applied.
Essential Duties:
• Structure, plan and prioritize workflow of the construction schedule for the contract crews.
• Distribute daily work schedule and assign jobs electronically to contract crews.
• Inspect and monitor crews for compliance according to NESC and RUS specifications and criteria.
• Assist and advise Engineering Technicians regarding staking and designing jobs and projects.
• Monitor progress and status completion of jobs and projects. Inventory monitoring and completions.
• Review staking sheets for accuracy and make changes as needed.
• Scan staking sheets and distribute to contractors.
• Review and verify invoices are accurate.
• Participate in supervisor on-call rotation.
• Provide on-going availability for storm and outage restoration as needed.
• Additional duties as needed and assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Must have a current and valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with DOT medical card and a clean driving record.
• 5 years of experience required with direct knowledge of RUS specifications, NESC, electrical construction (overhead and underground) is required.
• Must have computer skills with experience and knowledge utilizing all Microsoft Office applications.
• Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and use critical thinking skills.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs.
• Must be able to withstand working outside in a variety of weather conditions.
