Under the direction of the Manager of Operations, the Service Crew Supervisor provides oversight and management of service technician crews attending to construction, maintenance, repairs, and outage restorations across the service territory. This position is responsible for ensuring quality control, process improvement, safety, compliance and scheduling of all service crews.

Under the direction of the Manager of Operations, the Service Crew Supervisor provides oversight and management of service technician crews attending to construction, maintenance, repairs, and outage restorations across the service territory. This position is responsible for ensuring quality control, process improvement, safety, compliance and scheduling of all service crews.
Principal Duties
- Oversee, manage, and schedule crews investigating and repairing service issues and irregularities.
- Oversee locating and repairing malfunctions in the distribution system and substations.
- Assists with and supervises the restoration of power during outages and emergencies.
- Schedules and assists with preparing maintenance and repair work orders and distributes work orders to crews.
- Orders and issues tools for service technicians and trucks.
- Routes all material tickets for breakers, crossarms, and transformers to warehouse for inventory.
- Routinely makes crew visits and inspections to assure safety and compliance protocols are being followed at all times.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of equipment and vehicles as needed.
- Participates in on-call supervisor rotation.
- Assists with training of operations personnel.
- Makes frequent crew visits and checks to ensure quality assurance, safety, and protocols are being followed.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of duties in this job classification.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent commiserate with ten years' experience in the electrical utility industry. Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, project management, or similar area of relevant study preferred.
- Ten years' construction and/or project management experience required. One-year supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Current Commercial Driver's License with clean driving record and DOT Medical Card.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of electrical construction, repair, maintenance, and power transmission/distribution required.
- Ability to proficiently utilize all Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication, and critical thinking skills are required.
- Organizational and prioritization skills as well as attention to detail are required.
