Summary
Oversees long and short-range system planning design, distribution, inspection, transmission, substations and other facilities. 

Principle Duties
  • Provide effective leadership to the Engineering Department and ensure financial accountability through efficient use of resources to meet the system's needs
  • Develop and oversee the future strategic planning for the Cooperative infrastructure along with the Engineering department's long-term planning
  • Adhere to budget guidelines and variance requirements for the Engineering department and overall system project management
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes and standards governing electric utilities
  • Oversee asset management efforts for the entire electric system for optimal performance
  • Oversee risk management for the electric system reliability
  • Work in partnership with other teams to ensure the fluid functionality of the entire organization
  • Identify and implement emerging electric utility processes and technologies for system improvement and member benefit
  • Oversee the crisis response planning for the Cooperative and engage with all stakeholders to ensure compliance
  • Develop and manage all third-party contracts and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Responsible for oversight of the Technology team and managing best practices across the organization through cross-functional teams
Qualifications and skills required
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, management or other related disciplines.
  • 10+ years of electric utility experience.
